Welcome back to the Kodály Music Explorers Program for the 2011-2012 year! I greatly appreciate the trust you have placed in the quality of this program. Below is an outline of information pertaining to my registration process for current students.
All Kodály classes will take place in the Marda Loop area of SW Calgary, near 31 Avenue and 16th Street.
REGISTRATION for my Current Students and their siblings begins Monday, April 25, 2011.
You may register by completing the Registration Form and submitting it along with all post-dated cheques for payment to: Canzonet (Canzonet means “A light-hearted air or song.”) Your placement in a class is only confirmed when payment is received with all completed post dated cheques. Please mail to Helen Beach at the address listed below. You may hand deliver your registration information at your next class however I cannot take time to discuss your child’s registration at that time.
A NOTE about Full Time ECS students: Although I recognize that you may be considering a full time ECS program for your child, please be aware that our child-centered philosophy does not encourage Kodály classes after 4:00 PM for children who are not in grade one. Speak with me if you have any concerns regarding this policy.
If you are registering a New Family Member in this Kodály Music Explorers Program, you may do so at the same time as you register your CURRENT family member. Cheques may be combined but separate registration forms are preferred.
REGISTRATION for New Students on my Canzonet Wait List may do so now. If you know of any children who are interested in participating in our program in the fall of 2010 please encourage them to contact me or visit my website.
REGISTRATION FEES: Classes meet once each week for 45 minutes (one hour for Level 4.) There are 35 classes in the year. The tuition fee for the 2011-2012 year is $490.00 [plus GST]. There are several payment options indicated on your Registration Form. Upon payment of your fees, you will receive a confirmation of your registration via email and post. It will also indicate the date of your first class in September. Put this confirmation page in Section 5 of your child’s new music binder for future reference.
REFUND POLICY: The refund policy states that class lessons have a no-refund policy. In extenuating circumstances, you may file an appeal in writing to Helen Beach. A service charge of $20 will be assessed for all NSF cheques.
