Cantate Music School is pleased to announce registration for the Kodály Music Explorers Program for the 2008 - 2009 year. We greatly appreciate the trust you have placed in the quality of our program. We are very pleased with the progress and development of each of our classes this past year and are eagerly making plans to begin our next season. Below is an outline of information pertaining to our registration process for current students.
A CURRICULUM PROGRESS REPORT will be distributed to each current student. This report will identify song repertoire and the concepts / skills studied in each level. It will also indicate your child's progress, giving a recommendation for continuation in the program and possible advancement to a new level of study.
INSTRUCTOR SCHEDULES with days, time and levels is available on-line. Keep in mind your preferred Instructor's teaching schedule as indicated. Also remember that class times held in the after school time block are reserved for those children in grade one and older.

REGISTRATION for current students and their siblings begins April 28. You may register by completing the Registration Form and submitting it along with your post-dated cheques for payment to your Instructor. You can simply give your registration documents to your instructor at your class that week! Your placement in a class is only confirmed when payment is received with completed post dated cheques.
A Note about Full Time ECS students. Although we recognize that you may be considering a full time ECS program for your child, please be aware that our child-centered philosophy does not encourage Kodály classes after 4:00 PM for your children who are not in grade one. Talk to an instructor if you have any concerns regarding this policy.
If you are registering a NEW family member in our Kodály Music Explorers Programs, you may do so at the same time as you register your CURRENT family member. Separate cheques and registration forms for each family member makes book keeping simple and helps avoid confusion!
REGISTRATION for new students on our Wait List begins April 28. If you know of any children who are interested in participating in our program next year, encourage them to contact our office [243-3990] or submit via this website as soon as possible so their name can be added to our Wait List. Registration for the general public begins on May 5.
REGISTRATION FEES Classes meet once each week for 45 minutes. There are 35 classes in the year. The tuition fee for the year is $450.00 [plus GST]. There are several payment options indicated on your Registration Form. Upon payment of your fees, you will receive a confirmation of you registration. It will also indicate the date of your first class in September. Put this in your child's new music binder for future reference.
REFUND POLICY. Our refund policy states that class lessons have a no-refund policy. In extenuating circumstances, you may file an appeal in writing to the School. A service charge of $20 will be assessed for all NSF cheques.
