New Student Information

Welcome to the Kodály Music Explorers Program for the 2011-2012 year!

My belief is that music enhances the quality of all our lives. My goal is to instill and foster the love of music in young children and their families. I look forward to sharing music with you and your child.

Current Students and Wait Listed students who meet the age eligibility requirements may register for classes beginning April 25. General public registration begins May 2.

All Kodály classes will take place in the Marda Loop area of SW Calgary, near 31 Avenue and 16th Street.

Click here for a registration form and class schedule. By submitting the completed registration form and all post-dated cheques, I can secure a space for your child in one of my classes.

TO REGISTER

1. Children must have reached their 3rd birthday before June 1, 2011. To provide an optimum learning experience for all participants, there are no exceptions to this age policy.
2. Submit your completed registration form with all accompanying payment to: Canzonet (Canzonet means “A light-hearted air or song.”) Please mail to the address below.
3. Because of the high demand for this program and a dedication to quality instruction through small class sizes, I can only hold a space for your child upon receipt of payment. A registration form with payment option schedule (on reverse side) accompanies this letter. If you are registering more than one child, cheques may be combined but separate registration forms are preferred.
4. Confirmation of your class time will be made by mail. Be sure to check your registration confirmation for the date of your first class. Included in with your confirmation of class will be a list of requirements before your child’s first class, as well as some useful suggestions for you at home to make that big transition from parent to teacher.
5. Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
6. Please inform me in advance if your child has any known disability or learning difficulty.
7. The refund policy states that class lessons have a no-refund policy. In extenuating circumstances, you may file an appeal in writing to Helen Beach. A service charge of $20 will be assessed for all NSF cheques.
