Following many highly successful years of teaching for the Calgary Board of Education, Connie taught in the Early Childhood Kodály Musicianship Program at Mount Royal College Conservatory for 8 years

Other past teaching experiences include private piano and theory instruction. She is the organist and choir accompanist at Foothills Lutheran Church where she also developed music programs and activites for children.

Connie is the parent of two children both of whom are Kodály Program graduates.
